Batik artistic works has reached to the highest level of fame in today’s world of fashion. This artistic work is now utilized in garments and various cloth materials. In order to bring good rich quality Batik work one has to follow the Batik and Tie and Dye methods.

Among several arts that take place in the world market, Batik art is considered to be rich one. Though Batik art comes from Indonesia, but now it has reaches universal recognition all over the world. Most of the Batik work was created in various dress materials and garments. There were many followers in early days for promoting Batik work. The people could easily recognize the original Batik work, so that they keep out the duplicators who make fake Batik work. Batik work has now attained to new era of fashion designers and kept as beautiful ornaments in the homes.

The Europeans were regarded as first learners in Batik work from Indonesia. Then, the Egyptian and the Persians learned to use colors in the material of Batik. Many countries like Japan, India, China and Africa followed the learning process of Batik art work from Indonesia and implemented their own style and pattern.

In India, the state of Rajasthan practiced the Batik work in many of the bed sheets, wall hangings and dress materials. It is also considered to be handicraft. In earlier days, the Batik and Tie and Dye were familiar as time passing hobby but now there are many colleges and schools where they teach as course program.

There are two ways while bringing out the Batik work namely as old technique and modern new process. Which ever the process may be but the principle is same where in the process a line is drawn with help of wax on the material of cloth. When it is immersed in dye, the color won’t immerse in the region where wax has been applied. The wax prevents the color and surface split in to dyed and non dyed regions which result to formation of pattern and style in the cloth material. In Tie and Dye methods, the pattern is retained as the dye does not merge the tied areas of the cloth.

The care should be taken so that the Batik fabric must be genuine form of fabric like cotton or pure silk. The Batik work has developed in to commercial business where many of them earn for their bread and butter. By fast development this work has spread all parts of the world.
