After a rather frustrating Season 6 and an extended delay due to the writers' strike, Season 7 of 24 finally premiered this January after being off the air for over 19 months (aside from November's TV movie, 24: Redemption). The season was hit and miss, featuring some fun action sequences and the return of some favorite characters, mixed with some lackluster plots and a number of unrealized new characters.
Day 7 marked the first full season of 24 not based in Los Angeles, instead moving Jack and company to Washington, D.C. The change of venue was a welcome one and allowed for a convergence of the Jack Bauer and White House storylines for the first time, with Jack physically in the White House with the President.
