Relax in Ubud Indonesia

People are searching for that perfect vacation spot in which they can ease their tired nerves and feel a sense of wellbeing. Frankly speaking, that kind of place is now scarce. However, there is a place where you can remove your work shoes and just enjoy the time.

The Old Twist

Ubud Indonesia offers a lot of tourist spots that travelers could feast their eyes on all day long. There is the Museum Puri Lukisan which sports Balinese art. The Monkey Forest literally is a forest full of monkeys, so you could tell your friends that you’ve held a real monkey. For the feminist, there is the Seniwati Gallery of Art by Women, which is pretty much self explanatory.

Rainsticks for Better Gifts

Rainsticks for Better Gifts

Traveling has always been fun, but buying souvenirs is another thing. Your relatives have already probably guessed what you are going to buy them as soon has your plane has flown off the runway. Looking at every souvenir shop can be difficult, too. Sometimes store owners take advantage of foreigners and raise there prices up a notch. Once they start with a smooth sales pitch, you will be enthralled on the unique and “rare” artifacts that you can purchase.

Like souvenirs, gifts can also be hard to pick. I don’t think buying your friend another picture frame or mug is a good idea.

Of Goats and Shawls

Of Goats and Shawls

Pashmina shawls, scarves and wraps are famous for their softness and warmth. However, contrary to popular belief that the word pashmina refers to the beautiful silky shawls themselves, it actually refers to the material from which the articles of clothing are made. So what is this wonderful and stunning shawl made of?

Goats!

The name pashmina comes from the word pashmineh. Pashmina is a fabric that belongs to the greater wool category.

The pashmina wool is extracted from a Himalayan breed of goats that grow an inner layer of hair for extra heat and insulation during winter time. The inner layer of hair is discarded every spring and these hairs are caught on bushes. Each goat gives off about 3-8 ounces of this type of hair, which the villagers then look for and harvest so that they’d have wool for waving.

New Gen Beachwear

New Gen Beachwear

Beachwear is essential especially in the summer. However, you can’t walk around town in your two-piece string bikini. Even if you live in the Emerald Coast, you’re still supposed to have something on to cover your swim wear. You can wear a super sheer, gossamer-thin wrap if you want. It doesn’t matter what you use for a beach wrap as long as you do wear one.

Beachwear’s Evolution

Beachwear used to be synonymous with bathing suits and swimming trunks. You only wear your swim suit at the beach. You don’t prance around the hotel lobby wearing it, and you don’t window shop in it. Heck, you’re not even supposed to cross the street in it. What you’re supposed to do is go to the beach, get into your bathing costume, swim, get dressed, and go home.
