And the CMT Award Goes To – Carrie Underwood 1

CMT received mixed reactions when they chose Kid Rock to host this year’s CMT Awards 2010. Well, I like the guy and having to see him wear another kind of hat made me want to see him on stage doing something with a different job description for the CMT Awards. Also, it was the first time Kid Rock ever hosted something like the CMT Music Awards 2010 and I think he did a pretty good job. Taken that there was a script and teleprompter, I would say Kid Rock was articulate, pleasant and welcoming. Before calling on Taylor Swift and Faith Hill on stage, he even warned that he will punch anyone thinking of grabbing the mic from the ladies. Ha-ha. I think that was one of the best things he ever said at the CMT Awards.

Well, the night really went to Carrie Underwood who emerged as the big winner at the CMT Awards 2010. Carrie Underwood won the Video of the Year award for Cowboy Casanova. Video of the Year is the top price for CMT Awards. Carrie also took home the CMT Performance of the Year Video award for Temporary Home. I like Carrie Underwood despite some nasty remarks from other people that she cannot keep her feet on the ground now that she is a supernova.
