The two third region of Bornea Island falls on the Indonesia territory of Kalimantan. The green vegetation of Bornea Island consists of many valuable exotic plants and wild animals. The primitive people are called as Dayak, Iban, Punan and Banuaq tribes. These people have unique way hunting the heads of human people where they practice as ritual for good luck in their lives. This act shows arrogant behavior. As years passed these primitive tribes transformed to modern people where they had a opportunity to follow several religions like Muslim, Hinduism and Christianity. The Bornea Island also serves natural resources for many countries in the world.

Many of the foreign tourists travel to this unique Bornea Island where they spend their leisure time by doing many adventurous outing. Mainly in Bornea Island there are rivers running all over the regions. Moreover the local people construct their homes along these rivers. One of the main attraction in this Bornea Island, rafting is often practiced with great desire. It is one of the places where revenue is earned for the government. There are villages and jungles surrounding the Bornea Island.

There is a famous river called Mahakam flowing across the Eastern Kalimantan. In Mahakam River only freshwater is seen. In this freshwater you can see amazing dolphins. The Dayaks and indigenes people reside here. The Eastern Kalimantan is also famous for production of oil and timber products.
