MATT ROLOFF: Alive and Well
So there you go. Matt Roloff dead is totally untrue. As a matter of fact, Matt Roloff didn’t need to go to the hospital for his attack and was just on medication. According to his Facebook page, Matt Roloff is at home now and is doing much better. That goes to show that we are to expect more of a very healthy Matt Roloff and the rest of the family this upcoming season. Let’s just hope that there won’t be anymore ‘surprises’ from Matt Roloff that will leave us fans dumbfounded and a like crazy clicking away on the Internet in hope for answers. And I am the one to always say, don’t believe everything you read on the Internet. I never thought I would see the day.

MATT ROLOFF: Alive and Well 1
Love the show, love the guy, and love the whole Rollof bunch. But that trick ending the fifth season of Little People, Big World where Matt Roloff appeared to suffer from a heart attack wasn’t funny. It is not even near the perimeters of funny. I mean, thank God Matt Roloff was okay and it was just a case of vertigo but, come on, does the show really needed to be so inconsiderate of the fans? We all found out that Matt Roloff death is just drama –and I thought that this is a reality TV show: a reality show with a fake a heart attack drama scene.

Of Justin Bieber, Dirk Nowitzki and Tony Parker 2
Dirk Nowitzki –and no doubt we are talking about the same guy, ha ha –is still with the Dallas Mavericks. Dirk Nowitzki is scheduled to ink the deal with the Mavs not later than Thursday. The extension of Dirk Nowitzki’s contract is said to worth $80 Million for four years, including a no-trade clause. Dirk Nowitzki has been playing for the Dallas Mavericks for 12 years but unfortunately, still without a championship on his cap. Dirk Nowitzki became an unrestricted free agent for the first time. Dirk Nowitzki’s decision to stay was not without drama. The German born power forward went back and forth to Germany and Dallas before he decided to walk away with the deal. Dirk Nowitzki has the longest tenure in the team.

Home Run Derby: The Redemption of Papi 2
David Ortiz wiping out Hanley Ramirez raised some people’s curiousness if the former was still into performance enhancing substance. We could recall that David Ortiz was one among many that tested positive for steroids in 2009. And the performance he showed beating Hanley Ramirez who only garnered not even half of his scores did raise many eyebrows.
But, everyone was there to have fun. And Big Papi David Ortiz sure knows how to make his fans happy. David Ortiz was consistent all the way up to the last round, hitting those balls far, far and away! And did you know that David Ortiz was mentor to Hanley Ramirez when the latter was with Red Sox? This added twists and turns made the Home Run Derby ever more exciting.

Of Justin Bieber, Dirk Nowitzki and Tony Parker 1
By this time you would’ve already known that it is not THE Justin Bieber born in 1998 but another Justin Bieber who is NOT a world wide mega singing sensation. THE Justin Bieber many of you love (no, I am not a fan –no pun intended) was born March 1, 1994 which makes him 16 on his last birthday. However, Justin Bieber was 12 years old when a video of him singing Ne-yo’s ‘So Sick’ was posted on youtube. After several hits, Justin Bieber, now 16, is a major superstar. So, may I move on to more important issues?

UFC 116: Night of the Goliaths 2
And third of all, I never thought that Shane Carwin will be defeated via an arm triangle choke at round 2! This win also garnered the Submission of the Night for UFC’s Bonus Awards.
If Brock Lesnar can still be the undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion after an illness, just imagine what he can do when he is in pink of health! To say the least UFC 116 was truly the Biggest Heavyweight Fight ever.
The UFC Heavyweight winner will defend his title against Cain Velasquez –professional record, 8-0.

UFC 116: Night of the Goliaths 1
First of all, I had all my cards at Shane Carwin at UFC 116. I thought that this was a win for him knowing his UFC landslide victory for his 12 bouts, all knockouts in no more than four minutes. Plus, the tape tales tell us that the Goliath Carwin is an equal match to the Goliath Lesnar.
Second of all, Brock Lesnar was in no good condition to win UFC 116, or so I thought. Down with the kissing disease for months, Brock Lesnar pulled out from UFC in October 2009 saying he was too sick to train and it will take some time to recover. Well, I suppose it will take more than just four minutes or a kissing virus to bring down UFC’s #1 Heavyweight in the world.

Home Run Derby: The Redemption of Papi 1
Home Run Derby, is one of my favourite events at the MLB All Star Game. Since I am virtually impaired when it comes to baseball and homerun is just all I know about the sport, Home Run Derby is an entertaining event for me.
Eight players are chosen for the playoffs and this year’s happening, Chris Young, Vermon Wells, Nick Swisher and Matt Holiday were eliminated after the first round. Miguel Cabrera and Corey Hart were eliminated after the second round with 12 and 13 homerun hits. Emerging as finalists were Hanley Ramirez and David Ortiz. David Ortiz emerges as champion hitting 11 homeruns at the final round. Hanley Ramirez hitting only 5 came running at second place. For the non-practicing sports fan, I will understand if you think the numbers don’t fly. It’s just that the scores are reset after every round.

National League Arise After 14 Years 2
But Atlanta Braves’ Brian McCann hit that ended the National League All Star win drought bagged the Ted Williams All-Star MVP awards presented by Chevrolet. Brian McCann delivered the team from behind to topple the American League and breaking the latter’s lucky streak win at the MLB All Star Game. Brian McCann’s hit was meaningful to him, to the Braves and to the National League’s All Star Game form.
Consider that as a happy ending for the National League. The Braves will have to thank him if they go to the World Series for doing what he did at the All Star Game.

National League Arise After 14 Years 1
MLB All Star Game 2010 proved to be the comeback year for the National League as they won 3-1 on Tuesday’s Midsummer Classic. As if to say that enough is enough, the National League walked away triumphant in front of more than 45,000 fans at the Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California locking a home field advantage in the 2010 World Series in the process.
But before the official start of the All Star Game, a few minutes of silence was observed in memory of Yankees’ owner George Steinbrenner who passed on earlier this week after turning 80.
