The Belmont Stakes win gave Hall of Fame horse trainer Bill Mott his first victory. The Belmont Stakes second place winner was Fly Down ridden by John Velasquez followed by First Dude at third place with jockey Ramon Dominguez.

Well, I guess that concluded the Triple Crown for this year. And by saying that, may I add that the conclusion at the Belmont Stakes makes us wait in anticipation for next year where hope flies for a Triple Crown winner.

Java the most densely populated island is the fifth largest island in Indonesia. The culture of Java dates back to centuries and located to the west of the island is Jakarta the Indonesian capital. Java is divided into four provinces: East Java with its capital being Surabaya, Central Java with its capital of Semarang, West Java with the capital city being Bandung, and Banten whose capital is Serang. The major ethnic unit is Javanese. But they do not live in the western part of Java, where Sundanese occupy the most of the area. Two cities with a special status (Daerah Istemewa) are the cities of Jakarta and Yogyakarta.
The Main Cities
Surabaya: It is the second largest city in Indonesia and an industrial centre.In the war of independence against the Dutch this city played a major role. Ijen Plateau and Gunung Bromo are situated close to Surabaya and it can be base place to visit these two tourist sites. .
Yogyakarta: This is a friendly city and the centre for Javanese art and culture. Kraton is the place of tourist importance along with the silverworks. It is in the outskirts of this city the second largest Buddhist monument of South East Asia known as Borobudur. The famous hindu temple complex Prambanan is just a twelve kilometer ride from the city centre.

I was just about upset that Lookin At Lucky, winner of the Preakness Stakes, did not run the Belmont Stakes this year. Actually, winner of the Kentucky Derby Super Saver skipped Belmont Stakes as well. It was bad enough that there has been no Triple Crown winner for thirty-two years and even the last helping of the United States Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing was of no hope for a double win at this year’s Belmont Stakes results. But, that was not to say that the most demanding of the Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes was without surprises. The lack of previous winners from Kentucky Derby and Preaness Stakes meant the last leg of the Triple Crown was anybody’s err, ballgame.

And the CMT Award Goes To – Carrie Underwood 2

So, there you go. Kid Rock and Carrie Underwood were the top two good reasons why I enjoyed this year’s CMT Awards. Ofcourse I also cheered on when my favourite Keith Urban was called to receive the Male Video of the Year Award for ‘Til Summer Comes Around.

Country music fans like me are also in much anticipation of the CMA Fest 2010 happening on November 10, 2010. My hopes are up that just like last year, my favourite artists Taylor Swift including will come out as winners.

And the CMT Award Goes To – Carrie Underwood 1

CMT received mixed reactions when they chose Kid Rock to host this year’s CMT Awards 2010. Well, I like the guy and having to see him wear another kind of hat made me want to see him on stage doing something with a different job description for the CMT Awards. Also, it was the first time Kid Rock ever hosted something like the CMT Music Awards 2010 and I think he did a pretty good job. Taken that there was a script and teleprompter, I would say Kid Rock was articulate, pleasant and welcoming. Before calling on Taylor Swift and Faith Hill on stage, he even warned that he will punch anyone thinking of grabbing the mic from the ladies. Ha-ha. I think that was one of the best things he ever said at the CMT Awards.
